Buddha in Bangkok

Made in 2023 as the cover for Massimo Morello’s book Bangkok. Two things that define the city are held in one frame: the contemporary skyline, and a black Buddha encountered at Wat Suthat.

The photograph does not illustrate a contrast. It holds both presences in a single visual field — a city where modernity and Buddhist tradition coexist, overlap and keep reshaping one another.
